Personal information usage objectives

Aware of the importance of the user personal information in its possession, the Company shall uphold all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to personal information protection, and shall help maintain order in the community. The Company shall handle personal information appropriately as specified in the provisions below, and endeavor to manage it securely.

Usage objectives of user personal information

1. Meeting contractual obligations for transactions such as real estate trading, leasing, brokerage, management, rent guarantees and real estate investment advisory services; providing information and services
2. Work incidental to Item 1 above
3. Providing information to third parties as needed to accomplish objectives 1 and 2 above
4. Sales activities conducted by post, fax and e-mail to provide the information and services needed for Items 1 and 2 above; investigations and analysis for purposes such as marketing activities and product development

Providing user personal information to third parties

Among the user personal information in its possession, the Company may provide names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, property information and other required items to third parties in the cases below. Information shall be provided in writing, by post, fax or e-mail. When providing information to third parties, the Company shall only provide the information required to accomplish the usage objectives given above, and shall refrain from providing it when requested to do so by a user.

Examples of personal information recipients

Real estate brokers, designated distribution channels (such as for property registration), credit information providers, real estate management companies, financial institutions, shiho shoshi*, cadastral surveyors (land and building surveyors)
*A type of lawyer specially authorized by the Ministry of Justice to represent clients in real estate registrations in Japan. It is also known as ‘shiho shoshi lawyers’ and ‘judicial scriveners’.

Joint use of user personal information

Among the user personal information in the Company’s possession, names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, property information and other required items may be used jointly by Sun Frontier Group members. The only objective of this joint use shall be to accomplish the personal information usage objectives given above.

Outsourcing work involving user personal information

When the Company outsources work involving user personal information in its possession, it shall manage the process properly, signing legal agreements to ensure the information is securely managed, and taking other appropriate steps for secure management.
